Day Tour of Wicklow from Dublin
My friend and I took the Wicklow tour on Friday 8th Feb. 2013. We just wanted to thank our tour guide and driver, Joe Egan, for a fantastic day out. Despite the rain, Joe kept us entertained, bringing the history of the place alive with his stories, jokes and wonderful singing. We feel very privileged to have been on this tour and to have experienced first hand the hospitality of the Irish people. Thanks again, Joe.

Amazing Day Out From Dublin!
Our enjoyment of this tour of the Wicklow countryside on a drizzly, grey February day was immeasurably enhanced by the warm, charming and knowledgeable guidance and companionship of Joe Egan. I have never, over the course of many years' traveling met a kinder and more entertaining guide than Joe. We will long remember his singing and the sense of togetherness created by his stories and quizzes. Thank you. The tour is marvelous value for money and places visited are both beautiful and interesting,

Perfect way to see the breathtaking sights!
Myself and my fiancé were away for my 30th birthday and we wanted to make the most of the two days we were here so decided to do a day tour. We had done a city tour the day before with another company and felt we didn't get to see enough of this beautiful country. Well as soon as we stepped onto the bus and were greeted by Ron I knew we had made the right choice. To sum up Ron in a few words, passionate, charismatic, funny, informative and a true Irish gent! From start to finish he had us hanging on every word he said. It was the way he tells em I tell ya! The sights were breathtaking some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. This tour is a must do for anyone visiting Dublin!

Fun day out
Brought visitors on this tour to give them a taste of the Irish countryside. We had a great day. The weather wasn't the best but the beautiful countryside made up for it. Our driver/guide Dave was absolutely fantastic. He was lovely and kept us informed and entertained with little stories, jokes and anecdotes. We had enough time at every stop to look around, take pictures, etc. It was a really enjoyable day.
Would definitely recommend it if you would like to get out of Dublin for a day.

Very good tour, Dave was very humerous!
I went on this tour just yesterday and it was very good. We couldn't get to the actual Sally Gap because of the snow in Wicklow but we stopped off at Glendalough which was nice. Also the best part of the tour was Avoca where the staff at Fitzgerald's Bar where Ballykissangel was filmed were very friendly. Wicklow is a beautiful county. Special mention to the driver Dave who was very humerous throughout the tour. We also passed through Rathdrum but didn't stop as it would have been nice to see the village and the area where the Irish film Michael Collins was filmed.

A highlight of my first trip to Ireland!
This was my first trip to Ireland with some former college roommates, and we had only 5 days to do as much as we could! This day tour was recommended at the Visitor Center, and we are so glad this is the tour that we chose! Joe was a wonderful guide, his knowledge of the city and countryside was so extensive and his warm demeanor made us feel like we were among friends. I cannot wait to go back and visit more of the beautiful countryside that this tour introduced us to!

Joe is the best!
Joe is the best! He knows so much about so many things and I can guarantee he is one of the best tourist guides I ever had. You can tell from the start that he loves what he does, which is something extremely important in the tourism business. We travelled with my fiancee Analia and both of us enjoyed so much this amazing day thanks to him! Best regards to you Joe and hope to see you soon! Alan

Our Guide Geoff was excellent!
Just returned from the day tour to Wicklow. Very enjoyable day despite cold & some rain. Our guide, Geoff (Jeff?) was excellent, really helpful & informative. Also very patient, helping us old crocks off at every stop. Even though the bus tour itself was great, through beautiful scenery, the highlight for me was the chance to take a walk on Geoff's guided tour around the monastery & up to the lake at Glendalough. I also want to commend Dave, our driver for the day for a nice smooth journey, and for getting us through some very tight spots (from my vantage point!) without fuss. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dublin because the information starts as soon as the bus pulls away from the pickup point in the city centre & continues throughout, with jokes, social commentary & a couple of songs thrown in! Outstanding Tour Company
I was a little worried about travelling on a day tour alone, but this company was amazing. The tour guide/driver, Joe, was by far the best tour guide I have ever had. Not only did he know a million and one different facts, he made everything seem exciting. He was entertaining, funny, knowledgeable, and overall a great man. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see the gorgeous Wicklow Mountains. Word of advice: try not to go on a foggy day! It's still a great trip, but it was hard to see all of the sights...
Thanks so much for a wonderful day!

Joe was Fantastic
I had a hard time believing that Wicklow would be as beautiful and as great a trip as it was. Seeing all the positive reviews for this tour and others convinced me to book and I am glad I did.
I have been on many tours and Joe is absoultely one of the best tour guides I have had. He was witty and extremely informative on Ireland, Dublin, and Wicklow. He was great for helping to take pictures and had the bus even singing songs.
One person asked Joe the differences between this tour and some of the others and he stated that this tour goes more into Wicklow and you see more. He said some of the other tours spent more time at some of the stops but that they saw less. I have no way to verify as this is the only Wiclow tour I went on, but I figured it may be useful to pass along.
The day was not to long 9am-5 or 5:30pm and we covered a lot of ground and the tour was exceptional overall.

A day to remember
We booked this all-day excursion via Gray Line (via the red tour busses in Dublin). Our guide, Jeff and the driver, Christof (?) were very friendly and funny! We visited the Blessington lakes, the Wicklow Mountains and Valleys, the scenes of Braveheart and P.S. I love you, as well as Glendalough and Avoca where we had our lunch. The only negative thing was the late lunch, at about 15:30. The promenade at Glendalough was FANTASTIC, the highlight of the tour! We strongly recommend it, especially if you are going to spend more than 3 days in Ireland.

Highly recommended Wicklow tour
Hats off to our tour guide; Joe Egan. He really made our trip worthwhile!
Joe has a great sense of humour and his combination of singing, joking and fact-telling is a winning formula. Between the many tours of Wicklow, we took a long time before deciding to book with Coach Tours of Ireland. We're so glad we did as this was the highlight of our trip to Dublin.
The tour included stops at the bridge featured in the film P.S. I Love You, Lough Tay (Guinness Lake), the peat and heather fields, the Glencree Armory, and Glendalough. Our final stop was in Avoca where we were taken to the Avoca Mill Factory and shown how the handweaving is made.
The only thing we didn't enjoy was the pub lunch (not included in the price of the tour) at the Fitzgerald's pub in Avoca, which was nasty, but it was the only place for lunch that was open at the time. Please do yourself a favour if you take this tour & bring your own lunch!
Other than that, it was a most enjoyable tour and we are very glad that our driver was Joe and would highly recommend him!

Wicklow Day Trip from Dublin
We booked via Viator (a US based tour operator) over the internet and downloaded our tickets in advance. Good thing as the morning of they were sold out. We had a great guide (Jeffrey, or Geoffrey) and bus driver (Michael). They were entertaining and full of humor and interesting facts not to mention great spirits (the figurative kind). Enjoyed the stop at Glendalough the most. Powerscourt also a treat. Would do it again without hesitation!

Great tour out of Dublin
Trevor was a great guide and Denis a great driver. This tour is informative and the scenery is beautiful. If you liked P.S. I love you, you will love seeing the heather in bloom and standing on the bridge where Holly and Gerry met! You can also see 'Guiness lake' and Avoca is a pretty little town, with a stop over at an old monastery. Well worth it!

Relaxing and laid-back tour of the Irish Countryside
We were unable to book the tour we initially wanted, but it was recommended that we try this tour instead as it was very similar. I'm so glad that we did! Our tour-guide, Josephine, was excellent! She was really engaging and friendly. She did a great job of pointing out things we would have missed just touring on our own. This was just a lovely and relaxing way to see the countryside and get out of the city.

Fantastic!
This was a great tour! Well worth the price. The scenery is beautiful with lots of stops for photographs. My driver was lots of fun. Great stories and a great singing voice. He engaged everyone! He also made a point of taking photos of everyone with the scenery! This is a great way to see the countryside without taking a three hour bus ride one way. It is just outside Dublin. A very nice day. The tour through Avoca was really interesting and a great, inexpensive meal at Fitzgeralds. Thanks Joe for making my last day in Dublin so much fun!

These guys are FUN!
Trevor & Carlos, hats off. This was a fun trip. My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our day on the Tour of Wicklow. The running commentary, the insights, the movie trivia - all great - and a dimension to Ireland that we simply wouldn't get from guidebooks or driving on our own.
To all those reading, looking for their day-trip out of Dublin: take this one!

Joe is Great!
The Wicklow Mountains were great and so was Joe - our busdriver / guide. In simple and clear words he did explain the essentials of Dublin’s and Ireland’s (partly tragic) history. And he found a great balance by telling his understated wisecracks and jokes. He is our number ONE (1). We had a great day.

Great Trip!
Just returned from a great break in Dublin. Highlighted by this tour into the Wicklow mountains. What a fantastic trip this was made even more so by driver and guide Dave Kearns.. His information history and humour made the day. We would highly recommend this trip.

Very impressive, just loved it!
the trip was so nice except the horrible weather. but our kind and excellent guide just used his humour and songs to send sunshine into everyone's heart on board. my friends and i just did not wanna leave this tour at the end of the day. it'll be a great pity if you miss this wonderful one-day tour.

I have just come back from Ireland and I went on one of your day tours to Wicklow.
I am happy to say it was the highlight of my trip !!:))
Our driver, Joe, was one of the most pleasant people I have ever met and between his jokes, his singing and the beauty of the scenery I had a really fantastic day...........one that I hoped would never end!!
I aim to spend a week in November and I will be booking another day trip...........I wouldn't mind seeing Wicklow again but do you have others??
Thanks and best regards.

Our guide and driver Joe was fantastic!
We took our tour on 7th May 2012, the weather was terrible, but our guide and driver Joe was fantastic, what knowledge he has and what a lovely lovely man, my mother in law forgot her jacket, he was able to lend one for her, thank you Joe. This is a lovely tour the countryside is beautiful as are the Irish people, once again thank you Joe for a fantastic day. We hope to take the tour again in future and will only book with this company. Thank you Chris Alex Maria and Doug Bishop.

Best day tour ever!
I am 33 and love partying but went to Dublin for a cultural experience. This is my favourite part of my trip. The views are simply stunning every bit of it and our guide was amazing (I thought our driver's name is John could have been Joe) but you will know he was retired and great that he is tour guiding because he has an amazing wealth of information and a flare for entertainment and a wicked wicked sense of humour! John is great too with different age groups and with a multi-cultural group. I was giggling all the way through enjoying my Irish experience. This trip was definitely more useful than googling infos to educate oneself. I highly recommend.

Stunning!
Worth every single penny!! Wicklow is a stunning place! This tour is a must!Whenever I have guests coming to Ireland I always recommend this tour to them and they all love! I particularly love this tour and been in it 3 times so far. Really worth the money for such amazing view!!

Easy, relaxing tour, excellent guide, splendid countryside
We had a tour guide and a driver in one person, called John. He made a good pleasant atmosphere in a bus, where were a people of many nationalities. He was a good expert who obviously likes his job and entertains working with people. The trip is definitely worth 24 € per person. If you go to Dublin for the first time, not hesitate to book one day for seeing the country.

Amazing Tour and Brilliant tour guide
There is no words you could write to explain how fantastic to views were as we were travelling through wicklow! The mountains were amazing and we had an amazing experience. Dave 'hotlips' was not just a brilliant guide and told us so much brilliant information, he was such a good laugh and made our trip so much more. We were sat at the front with Dave and he really made our day amazing. I would definitely advice people to go on this tour if you want scenery, laughter and a fantastic experience. If me, my mum and my friends come back into Dublin again then we will definitely go again. Thank you for making our trip to Dublin so special.

The BEST day of our vacation by far!
Our tour guide was a man named John. I am a firm believer that the guide makes the tour, and that he did. I will NEVER forget this fun filled day and John is mainly responsible. He is funny and informative. He is very knowledgeable, and very much loves his country. That is plainly obvious.
This day tour was probably the best money we spent at only 24euro a person for a day full of laughs and some of the most beautiful sights you will lay eyes on. SO WORTH IT. From the bridge featured in P.S. I Love You, to Lough Tay (Guinness Lake) to the peat and heather fields, the Glencree Armory, Glendalough (beyond stunning). We also stopped in Avoca, lots of smaller stops, and the Meeting of Waters which was fantastic. All around splendid tour, don't hesitate... just book!
My husband and I are planning a return Dublin visit next year and we will probably go on the tour again but I think I would have to insist on having John! He better still work there! :)

Wonderful day out in Wicklow!
After more than 3 attempts to book a tour with a certain "Under the Bottom" tour company with no response, we decided to book with Coach Tours of Ireland instead. And we are mighty glad we did! Joe was an excellent guide and the tour was peppered with lots of humour and songs! We enjoyed all of Joe's narration of some sights in Dublin City as well as out in Wicklow. We made stops at Film sites of Braveheart and P.S. I Love You. Glendalough was beautiful as well.

Fantastic Tour and Tour Guides
Our tour was amazing, we were so happy! Not only did we book at the last minute and you guys fit us in but we had the best day. Our driver was Dave and he was hilarious. He made the whole day so much fun and not your usual boring tour driver! We highly recommend your company

Wonderful tour, wonderful guide!
Joe was a great narrator, he made sure we all could keep up with where we were and why we were there. The landscape is amazing and he showed us what I'm sure was the most beautiful sites. You would be cheating yourself if you don't pick these guys!

Joe is incredible!
I have been traveling the world since last September and will be returning to Canada in early May. I am nearing the end of journey and have started to feel the effects of "traveler's fatigue" My experience on Sunday has given me a second wind and reminded me of what is so great about traveling. Your sense of humour, personal stories, and of course your singing made the day very enjoyable and has given me a great memory of my time in Ireland. Thanks so much

What more can I say?
Except for the very few complainers on here, everyone seems to agree that this was a wonderful day out! John is indeed a very deep, lovely man. I started off not quite sure of him, but by the end of the day was totally enchanted with this oh! so sensible a person. If only there were more like him on this earth!
The trip itself was excellent, despite misty weather for half the time. The scenery stunning of course, and the photo opportunities much appreciated.
Perhaps Avoca (the lunch stop) is now past its sell by date. There isnt exactly a lot to see there, although the fish and chip cafe was excellent! But Ballykissangel is a long, long time ago now...

This was an absolutely wonderful tour of the area by a memorable tour guide. I could not have asked for a better Irish gentleman to show me around Ireland and to enrich my life! I will never forget this tour that inspired me to continue my travels, and to explore new and exciting places!

I'm not a fan of tourist bus tours at all but this one was very nice. Mainly because of the friendly bus driver/tour guide named John. He makes the difference between an average tour and a awesome tour. The tour itself is good, you are able to see a nice side of Ireland and look at some movie location. The little village that we stopped for lunch isn't incredible but there isn't a lot of location to stop to eat and I guess that the best one. You are able during the tour to see nice scenery and take good pictures. For the girls that are fan of the movie P.S I love you I guess that's the tour to get :) You don't come back to Dublin too late and you still able to enjoy the city for the evening.
This tour gave me the chance to meet 3 wonderful german tourist girls and that event made my trip to Ireland memorable!!!

Apart from seeing Gerard Butler - star of 'P.S. I Love You' at the Lough Tay 'set' of 'P.S. I Love You' this couldn't have been better for me!!! Not sure what to expect as we jumped on the 9.30 bus from Dublin we were both delighted! that the fun, entertainment and incredibly informative Irish history began thanks to our fantastic guide John - even before we left Dublin!
We expected the green of the Emerald Isle, some beautiful sight-seeing, the monastery at Glendalough and to have a Guinness in Avoca - 'set' to Ballykissangel! and we got all of that - but we also got so much more!
Our guide John really brought the whole experience alive for us. There were 8 of us that day - but the energy and warmth was enough for 80. There was music, 'The Dubliners' thanks to our guide and a real warmth and personal touch. My husband agreed this was the unexpected highlight to our trip to Dublin. Had we time, I'd love to have gone on another tour with Failte - but always a good reason to return!.. So thanks once again for a fabulous day! and really treating us with such care and fun!!! It was great and got some good tips for a trip to the West coast too:))

One of the Best experiences in Ireland (14 November 2011)
I am not usually a person who sends in comments but I really had to write one. I spent a week in Dublin and went on a lot of tours around Ireland and in Dublin. This has been the far most best tour there is. Our Driver Joe is a passionate person who will share his knowledge with you. There is not one dull moment on the bus and he will make anyone come out of this tour with a huge smile on their face. Great time, worth every dime if not more. It's a family owned business who really know what leaving an impression means. This is not your typical driver. This is a great guide, who loves his job and shares his love with you.
The Best tour we had when in Ireland (13 November 2011)
We took other tours when we were in Ireland and by far, this was the best one we took. The cost for the tour was very reasonable and yet, it was the most fun tour we had. The coach itself was very comfortable. Our guide, Dave was hilariously funny and entertaining throughout the whole tour. Even though we visited many places, we didn't feel like as if were rushing about trying to keep into a schedule. In fact, there was ample time to take photos and have lunch etc. If you have to do one tour when in Ireland, do this one. It's really a great value.

Simply The Best (7 November 2011)
I attended the day tour of Wicklow with my sister and we both absolutely loved the tour! Our tour guide Joe was amazing! He told facts about the country in an interesting way and told funny jokes, he also sang to us many times :D I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have a fun day and see the beautiful scenery of Ireland.
A Step Back in Time (31 October 2011)
Our trip through the mountains was adventure and history rolled into one. The mountain roads were barely wide enough for the tour bus which created some tense situations. The tour included old ruins, film sights, a still operating wool mill, horticultural interests, and a fantastic reasonably price lunch - with options for every diet. The tour guide was knowledgable about the present residents and the evolution of the past. As an introduction to the area it was a great day. A Step Back in Time

Day Tour of Wicklow (12 October 2011)
We were happy to participate on a one day trip to Wicklow south of Dublin. Even if the weather was rainy and foggy, our guide and driver Joe, managed to make this trip to a day we will remember from our stay in Dublin. I would not hesitate to recommend this trip to friends, family and other who are interested in the irish countryside.
Day Tour of Wicklow - Excellent way to spend the day in Ireland (12 October 2011)
Bus left Dublin at 9:15am and we returned around 5:15pm. There are several Wicklow tours but this is the red bus. Cost was 24 euros and was an excellent value. The scenery was fantastic but the biggest reason to recommend this particular tour is the driver. I believe his name is Dave Kearns. He was hysterically funny as he gave us an excellent tour with commentaries on Irish culture, economics, and politics. He was extremely personable as he tried to engage with each and every person on the tour. Highly recommend

A Terrific Trip! (28/08/2011)
This day tour was terrific. Our guide was personable and well-versed in the sites visited and Irish life in general. The bus was very comfortable. We had several stops, including the Glencre Peace and Reconciliation Centre, the old monastery of Glendalough and the weaving centre in Avoca, and plenty of time to soak in the amazing scenery. We had opportunities for snacks and lunch. The trip lasted from about 9:30 am until 5:30 PM. I highly recommend it!

Not to be missed! (07/08/2011)
If you're visiting Dublin and for any reason feeling down, the perfect cure is to take the Day Tour of Wicklow with guide and driver Joe. My wife and I are still laughing at his anecdotes and were cheered by his songs and the way he made everyone on the trip feel so welcome. The tour itself was brilliant despite slightly inclement weather, but again Joe made the dodging of the showers part of the experience. His knowledge of the area and its' history were second to none. I can only recommend wholeheartedly this tour and once again, thank you Joe. That was a day we will never forget.

I don't have enough stars to put on this tour - A MUST SEE! (21/07/2011)
Me and my husband were visiting Ireland and we thought we should take a day tour to Wicklow Mountains. It was the best decision ever. We had the most memorable day tour with our tour guide John. We have travelled to a lot of places and taken so many tours. But by far John was the best tour guide ever. He knows his country, his culture and traditions very well. His storytelling technique is quite funny. He has a story for everything and anything and they don't seem like a history lesson. We had some great laughs and a fun day. John would play songs according to the scenery we would pass by and would put the whole bus in the mood to enjoy the tour. John sings very well. We would definitely take this tour again just to listen to John's stories. He took our pictures as well. Thank you John. May God Bless you with everything! Amen.

Lunch at the BallyKiss Angel pub was excellent, we would highly recommend the Irish Stew. Amazing views from the mountain, beautiful countryside. Camera and walking shoes are a must. Day out was good value for money.

Joe is a true Irish character who's got the local knowledge to take you to some magical places. The day trip is in a nice bus and it’s not very expensive at all. I thought I should say thanks and endorse this great tour while times are tough over there. I was lucky enough to see the cemetery in Wicklow covered in frost, and part of the Guinness lakes covered in ice. The places we went in January this year were so beautiful and awe-inspiring, that I have made plans to go back to Ireland again. Joe’s pretty good with his camera too and you’ll have funny tourist pics up on facebook before you can say “I need a Guinnessâ€. Good luck to you mate!

I did the day trip to the Wicklow Mountains on the 18th of April.... and I can't stop thinking of it because it was so great. :) :) John, our driver/guide with his knowledge about the area, his jokes, his anecdotes and with the songs he made us listen to on the bus ( They were all great :)) made it all an unforgetable day and Ireland will have a special place in my heart forever. :) :) Thank you again John for the great day and making us feel so welcome. You are definitely one of the best guides I've ever met!

Me and my boyfriend went on a Day Tour of Wicklow on March 19, 2011. We had a wonderful time with our driver and guide Joe, who was very funny and who made the trip just amazing with all his jokes and storiea and songs. And he knows a lot of information about Dublin and the countryside and Ireland as well! The day spent on this tour is an unforgettable memory and I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience and see the beauty of Irish countryside. It was perfect, thank you!!!

Many thanks to Joe, our guide and bus driver, for the great time we had during the day-tour to Wicklow this month. I don't know if he is always so funny and full of resources, but he really made that tour worth taking. We had a wonderful experience.

I would like to offer thanks and appreciation for a great day tour of Wicklow I did on 14th January 2011. I had been on a few other tours during the week, but this one was the icing on the cake. John, the tour guide and driver, was just wonderful - very informative, and very entertaining - and he made the whole day special. I truly did not want it to end. So a big thank you and God Willing, I might one day get back to Ireland. I loved it!!!!

There were not so many people in my group, but we were from a lot of different countries and everyone was really nice. 30-Aug-2010. Thanks to Joe, our guide, for being both informative and hilarious in equal measure! He told us that statistically we would only remember 3% of what he had told us by the next day, but I managed to remember that little fact, so he must have been doing something right! Excellent value for money if you want to see some of the beautiful Irish countryside. Expect a good old fashioned sing-a-long too!

23-Aug-2010. Me and my Mum were on the tour of Wicklow on the 28th July. It really was the highlight of our holiday to Ireland. John was a wonderful guide with a fantastic sense of humour, tons of knowledge and created such a friendly and enjoyable day. We 100% recommend the tour as the sights we saw were beautiful, our highlight was visiting the filming location for 'P.S Love You'! We can't wait to visit Ireland again and a big thanks to John!

11-Aug-2010. 28-July-2010 was a day when I participated a tour of Wicklow and was very lucky to have an opportunity to listen such a great guide as John. He has an inside vision of Ireland and wonderful ability to tell stories and philosophy. Let alone his warmth and lovable sense of humour. He is a Person who made Yeats´ \"There are no strangers here, Only friends you haven´t yet met.\" flesh and blood. Irish landscapes and attractions were so beautiful too.
Juha Gustafsson-Vantaa, Finland
28-July-2010. Hi John, just a quick note to say how wonderful was the day I spent on your coach. I can't remember having a more enjoyable tour, so many thanks for that. I do have to come back because having a new laptop I somehow tragically have lost some photo's taken on the day, most important were the ones of me and my first Guinness at Fitzgerald's in Bally K - good enough reason to come back don't you think. So I hope you're not giving up some time soon. Wishing you and yours a thousand good wishes in the meantime. Enya's fan Pam.

We took this tour as our 2nd option, but it was a great experience, John our driver/guide is very friendly and tried his best to give us so much information about the landscape and Ireland, he is funny too...I shared some joke with him, a pleasant journey for someone who dislike being in the bus all the time. cheers

06-Apr-2010. My husband Paul and I took the tour on the 1. of April. It was a spur of the moment thing, but it was the best day we had in Ireland. Our driver and guide, John was an encyclopedia of knowledge. A day of adventure and a day of laughter. John made the day special. When the bus broke down, he stood up and started singing and got everybody joining in. He is a very special man with his way of telling us about Irish history. He really got us thinking about how we live our lives and I would like to take this opportunity to say, thank you John. Should you ever come to Denmark, make sure you come and visit us. Yours Ulla and Paul Harrison, Denmark

06-Feb-2010. John, you were one of the reasons that Dublin was so special to us! You truly made our visit amazing. There was never a dull moment on the tour. We learned SO much about the history of Dublin and Ireland, as well as all of the places we saw on the tour. Your enthusiasm and positive attitude set an amazing mood for our journey. Plus, all of the little facts and bits of culture that you gave us completed our sightseeing. Thanks again! We have referred many friends and fellow travelers to your tour.

14-Dec-2009. Thank you for taking our e-mail. It is with great pleasure that my wife I are able to offer this review of the lovely day tour that your company provided. We had many tours to choose from but are very certain that you would be hard pressed to find a better offering for a day trip to the Wicklow mountains or anywhere south of Dublin City! Our tour guide and driver John was spectacular and it is hard to describe in only a few short sentences how much we enjoyed his company. The trip was nicely paced and stops were planned accordingly. This tour was remarkable for my wife and I, and we are very certain that that was due in part to our guide \"John's\" performance! Perfect to say the least!! For those of you planning a day trip out of Dublin look no further than this tour!! Easily recommended - beyond 5 star!! Thank you Adam and Susan Hunter Troy, Ontario Canada.

02-Dec-2009. On November 26, I had the blessed opportunity to meet an employer of Coach Tours, our tour guide, John. John is an exceptional individual and true asset to Coach Tours. John has a knowledge of Ireland that is informative and magnetic his humor, compassion and love of all individuals I will never forget. Along with the many individuals that we shared our day with, John was the inspiration that made our trip delightful and memorable. Thank you for sharing your music and entertaining us with your Irish songs. One of the most memorable statements I took away from you was \"there are no strangers in Ireland, just friends that haven't met\". My love for Ireland and it's people will always continue to grow because of people like you. Until our paths cross again.

29-Oct-2009. Together with a colleague and a bunch of students I went on this tour of the Wicklow mountains on a rainy October day. Looking back at one week in Dublin (and after having returned back home) it should be mentioned that this was the day with the best insights into Irish mentality and landscape. Forget about the Guinness Storehouse, even about the Book of Kells, and go on a trip with John (Sean?), the lovely, eloquent and knowledgeable bus-driver. The Irish are a friendly people and wonderful story-tellers -- I had heard that before. Having been on this trip, I am convinced of it. :) Anke

15-Oct-2009. To Joe, Have just got back to Cambridgeshire after a 3 day break in Dublin and the most memorable time of the whole 3 days was spent on your coach traveling around Wicklow – absolutely fantastic! The humour and the knowledge that you have and which you were able to apportion in equal measures was wonderful and Val and I would like to congratulate you on treating us to such mirth and merriment throughout the day. You have a great sense of Irish humour Joe and you made us all laugh, whilst at the same time enlightening us with your knowledge of the country you obviously love – and who can blame you. Thanks again, and if we go to Dublin again we shall be sure to include your coach trip during our stay. Best wishes to you and yours Joe. Val and Alan Fielding.

27-Sept-2009. I made this tour last week and it was the best of my visit to Ireland. The landscape was so beautiful, the music in the bus great but in addition to this the reflexions about life from our guide: John have helped me to see things with a different colour. I really enjoyed this day and I highly recommend it to other Dublin visitors.

21-sept-2009. We really enjoyed a great day tour to the beautiful area of Wicklow, it must be the best value in Dublin. Joe, our guide was the best craic, he entertained, educated and looked after all of us throughout the day. Thanks, Joe for making our trip down South really special and enjoyable.

14-Sept-2009. This pass weekend I took the tour and I have to say since my stay in Ireland this has been the best value of any tour I have taken. Both the beauty of the tour and the quality of the guides goes unmatched. I recommend this tour as a must see and must do if you are visiting Ireland for any length of time. John was my tour guide and he was just great both funny and extremely knowledgable.

14-Sept-2009. We read about the tour and the guides, and requested John, though the agent said his tour was full. Well, not sure if there are two Johns, but I agree with all said below about the special warmth and fun and knowledge provided on this tour. It was our first full day in Ireland, and one we will always remember (end of July 2009). I am so sorry John has an aversion to flying, or we would insist that he come over the pole to see us. Truly hope we meet again, Mary and Dick LaFever, your fans forever.

06-Sept-2009. Fantastic tour of beatiful places. But specifically wanted to write to say how great our tour guide \"Terry\" was. A fantastic personality and kindness that you don't see in most people. He made everyone feel so welcome and was full of information. On our return drive to dublin....a woman was having stomach issues and needed to stop a couple of times...and he showed great compassion for her. Hold on to him....he's a great asset to your tour.

04-Sept-2009. afternoon to you all
just got back to England following our first visit to Ireland.
One of our better ideas was to book a tour with yourselves to vist wicklow and the surrounding areas.
I never knew such scenery existed, only in the minds of artists and dreamers.
One of the undiscovered jewels of your fair land has to be our driver JOHN who chatted and sang for almost the entire 8 hours!!
He was articulate and amusing and I`m sure a job in radio could be found for him if he ever gave up driving.
We will return next year when hopefully we will discover other hidden gems.
thanks

23-Aug-2009. To our guide, John
this is just to say thank you for a great day during our tour of Wicklow with you last Thursday. We enjoyed the beautiful landscapes of the area as well as your rich commentary about your country's past and present. It would be difficult to compete with such knowledge!
On Friday evening we went to a pub in Temple Bar area and discovered yet another wonder of Ireland: music. It was very beautiful indeed, we both were very impressed. Ireland has a lot to offer!
All the best from both of us
Kind regards

03-Aug-2009. Hey there,
I just wanted to say that the tour to Wicklow today was absolutely brilliant. I did some other guided bus tours before, but this one was the best ever. I especially enjoyed to listen to our bus driver/guide - it was so amusing. I also liked the music and all the details about Ireland that I didn't know yet.
I surely will recommend the tour to all my friends.
All my best wishes to your company,
kind regards

22-July-2009. My friend and I are teachers from Michigan on our summer vacation and yesterday's tour of Wicklow was one of the absolute highlights of our stay here in Ireland. Not only did the breathtaking rolling hills of green make me feel truly at home here, but our tour guide was simply fantastic. We heard a little about social history, political history, architecture, comedy, geology, economics, traditional and contemporary music, personal anecdotes, and philosophy. John, you are more than a bus driver, you are a seanchaà -- As far as I'm concerned this is the most valuable treasure on the planet. As long as there are storytellers, we will never be poor. Thank you for a beautiful day.
Amy Marsh-Ludington, MI
20-July-2009. Wouah! Like we say in France. This tour was fantastic. Our driver John was perfect and quite easy to understand for non native English speakers. We took wonderful pictures and the weather was sunny (yes, believe me!). The landscapes were so beautiful. I am 25 years old and thought Dublin was only about drinking beers and having fun but this tour was just amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin! Thanks again John!

20-July-2009. Thank you so much, John, for this amazing Wicklow tour. We enjoyed it very much - not only the useful information about the country, culture and history, but also the humorous stories and jokes. Thanks for sharing your experiences and ideas with us. I would almost say it was a spiritual journey! I definitely recommend Coach Tours of Ireland. I can't imagine that anyone else could do the same tour more interesting!Even the liquid sun didn't bother us at all - it's Ireland. By the way, we made it to the bus station on time. So, no worries. 20-July-2009. My sister and I had an absolutely lovely day on the 17th. John was a great host, sweeping us up in his enthousiasm and his love for his country. The scenery is incredible and this was a great way to see a lot of it in a short time without ever feeling rushed.

19-July-2009. Our tour with John was amazing! The scenery is unbelievably beautiful and John is one of the kindest, most amusing people I've met anywhere. He was very enthusiastic in pointing out places of interest, such as the locations for the filming of P.S. I Love You and Braveheart. I would recommend this tour to anyone, if only to meet John! When I return to Ireland with friends and family I will definitely encourage them to take the tour.

08-July-2009. Hi, Just had to write and tell all about the brilliant day we had on 6th July 2009. The scenery was breathtaking, absolutely fantastic made all the more so entertaining by our wonderful tour guide - John. This was one of the best days we have had, in fact we could have just stayed on the bus and listened to John all day every day, the stories, the sing-songs, the history, the places John stopped for our photo-shoots were amazing. If you only do one trip in Dublin please please do this one. Thank you John for the day, you certainly made it one of the best!

17-May-2009. The last day of my trip to Ireland i woke up and just started to walk to the center of the city. I knew i was going on a tour, but just didn't know which one. I came to suffolk st and found the day tour of wicklow bus, I asked if the bus was full and John said no so i jumpped on. I believe everything happens for a reason and there was i reason john was on that bus. The tour was amazing, and the sites where breath taking, but the trip for me was much more than a site seeing tour. John made me see things in a different light, it was an eye opening experince and for that i would like to say thank you to John a great man. I hope one day, John, I can bring my girl of my dreams to walk through the valley of Glencree because i have found her. Thank you

25-April-2009. I just wanted to thank you for the amazing trip me and my group had last thursday. I have to say that it was one of the best days of my life! I've never seen a landscape so beautiful. I'm now in Finland and am already longing to come back to Ireland! I also want to thank our wonderful and humorous driver (whose name I can't remember, since I was so tired at the morning, before we got out of the city), who had a vast knowledge of the history and area and great tolerance for enthusiastic vikings! :) Thank you so very much!

15-April-2009. Words are useless when you have to talk about John and the Coach Tours of Ireland. I had the great luck to have a sunny day over my head, so I enjoyed very much the places I've visited. John's explanation were funny and satisfying and sure he knows every little thing of the land he lives in. Why choose Coach Tours of Ireland? Because Mr. John loves his work, and loves people, and who loves them both can't be a better person to deal with. Oh, I forgot about music!

14-April-2009. My wonderful wicklow tour with my mother was on 8April 2009. Can't appreciate more! Undoubtedly a trip that's full of joy and happiniess! And surprise as well! Wicklow is really one of the best places that you have to experience in order to tell you have been to Dublin, even Ireland! Travelling with our lovely both driver & tourguide,John is a big bonus to the beautiful tour! And I just cant believe that it is the cheapest tour among all tours to wicklow from Dublin! It was supervalue!! Thank you John, on behalf of myself and my mother! And my friends who are coming to Ireland in late April as well as I am definitely booking this tour for them! So please take good care of the three Hong Kong students who will be showing up on 29 April! Hahaa.....

01-April-2009. Good morning. I visited Dublin for only 2 days March 23rd and 24th with my sister, a retired Delta flight attendant. We took your Day Tour of Wicklow on Monday and had Joe as our tour guide. I have been a travel agent for 33 years and Joe was definitely one of the best tour guides I have ever met! The tour was fabulous and made our trip! I am sure everyone felt the same way. He is wonderful!
